There’s a lot of rushing around in the natural world, and it might be tiresome at times. Fortunately for one armadillo who enjoys relaxing, he discovered the perfect spot to do it.
Kristy West’s swimming pool was the location.

West and her family live in East Texas, but they were gone on vacation last weekend. This appeared to be good news for this small armored local.
It had been rather hot outside, and West’s pool was the ideal place to cool down. Because no one was around to annoy him, the armadillo apparently opted to use it himself.

The small man was probably hoping that his unofficial pool day would go undetected — but there was one detail he overlooked. West had asked her sister-in-law to swing over to see how things were going.
The armadillo was spotted comfortably sitting on a comfortable blue floaty at that time.
KRISTY WEST
Yep. Busted.

West was immediately informed of what was going on at her house. Interestingly, she was also cooling down at the beach at the time the text from her sister-in-law arrived.
“I felt something was awry when my kid came racing out of the water with the phone,” West told The Dodo. “She then proceeded to show me the photographs. I was taken aback, but it was incredible and hilarious. We had a great chuckle about that.”
West didn’t mind the guest swimming in her pool in the end. Despite the fact that armadillos are superb swimmers, she had her sister-in-law assist the armadillo in getting out in case he couldn’t.

The armadillo strolled off and hid under the deck after being ordered out – a lovely shaded spot for a post-pool sleep.
